Somatic Zen Retreats
SomaticZen is a Zen intensive designed to explore, deepen, and broaden our embodiment of seated meditation (zazen). In addition to periods of zazen, we will use traditional Zen embodiment practices like tai chi and vocal resonance along with Somatics, Feldenkrais movement awareness work, Yin Yoga, and TRE as a means to realize a deeper sitting practice. The program will follow a rigorous silent Zen intensive format with little extra sleep or downtime. SomaticZen will be led by Alex Greene, Zen priest, bodywork and somatic therapist, and Ellen McKenzie.
